So, what’s new? Two Awesome Upcoming Engagements for the Fall

I am really excited to be working on a special engagement with the Aviva Community Fund. I was honored to be selected as their Quebec speaker for the launching of this years Aviva Community Fund Competition! This fall, during the month of September I will be speaking at their launch events in Montreal and surrounding areas to share with Insurance Brokers from all over Quebec how they can become involved in Social Media and help community groups make an impact in their area!

I love this project and am honored to be speaking because if you had to ask me what the most important advantage social media has given us, it’s the power to connect and through these connections change the world. Using social media for social good and empowering the community is a cause very close to my heart.

The Aviva Community Fund is an amazing initiative of Aviva Insurance Canada. For the past 3 years they have given away over a million dollars to charities and community groups across the country. What does this have to do with Social Media? Well, the Aviva Community Fund depends on community engagement. If you want to learn more, you can check out my post on 12 Most about why their initiative is the social media contest that keeps on giving, long after the contest is over. It rocks!

Can You Get Involved Too?

Absolutely! Check out their web site, tell the local Canadian Charities and community groups that you love to start getting ready to engage their community, and get ready to help them make the cut to the finals by voting for them with a quick click every day. Giving to the community has never been so easy! Coming this September, the competition is on again, and every single idea to promote social good in the community has a chance, all you have to do is care, vote, and engage!

Spread the word, it’s time to get ready!
